The Specifile Building Library

The Specifile Building Library started in 1959 - in those 45 years we have established ourselves as the preferred source of information and referencing amongst professional specifiers in the construction sector.

Surveys are regularly carried out on our subscribing offices in order to ensure that we cater to the majority of our subscribers.

The Specifile Information Service consists of the following:

• The Specifile Building Library, a 25-volume set of loose-leaf binders, filled with technical brochures on building products.
  
  
• The binders are indexed via product, trade name and manufacturer to aid easy retrieval of information.
  
  
• Updating takes place every quarter by trained field representatives in all economically active towns. We have 50 field representatives throughout southern Africa.
  
  
• Specifier, our monthly tabloid publication, is posted to all subscribers and highlights new products and services in the building industry.
  
  
• An enquiry service operates via telephone, fax or 
  e-mail for all subscribers, which traces obscure products.
  
  
• SPECXpert 3-volume CD set, incorporating brochures CAD drawings, websites and much more.
  
  
• Specifile on-line, our Internet site for the very latest information. We suggest you log on
  
  
• Regular electronic updates are available forSPECXpert on Specifile on-line.
  
  
• The Specifile CD Library. This consists of individual CD's supplied by manufacturers that Specifile issues on their behalf.
